Siem Reap, April 25, 2026 – Sovannaphum Life Assurance has fulfilled its mission to support and empower women by delivering essential school supplies to the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) in Siem Reap. This initiative stems from a firm commitment made during the Women Run 10k, where Sovannaphum Life remains dedicated to the principle of transforming sporting events into meaningful social impact.
This year’s Women Run 10k was deeply significant, drawing a large crowd of over 4,000 participants. In line with the goal of converting this event into a social cause, Sovannaphum Life donated KHR 2,000 per runner, totaling KHR 8,000,000 shared between two organizations, with the Women’s Resource Center being one of the selected beneficiaries.
The Women’s Resource Center focuses its policy on empowering women through access to education, mental health support, and social services. This includes providing a safe space for counseling and guidance on various life and family matters. As part of its mission to strengthen women’s capabilities, the center organizes health workshops and training sessions, while also providing educational materials for their children. In support of these objectives, Sovannaphum Life donated 200 sets of essential school supplies—including gymsacks, notebooks, pens, and rulers. Additionally, the company provided vital nutritional support consisting of 16 six-packs of fish and soy sauce, 20 six-packs of canned fish, 5 cases of cooking oil, and 40 cases of instant noodles.
The donation was presented by Ms. Hem Sreymom, EVP & Chief Partnership Officer. Her presence reflects the company’s clear purpose regarding women’s leadership and highlights its dedication to promoting professional empowerment for women.
During the visit, Ms. Hem Sreymom shared: “I want every woman to have a strong commitment—to never give up, to believe in her dreams, and to fight for her goals. Today is truly inspiring, and I am honored to be a part of supporting the mission of the Women’s Resource Center. I deeply appreciate the vital work they are doing.”
