The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) in collaboration with Sovannaphum Life Assurance Plc will be organizing the Women Run 10K on March 8, 2025. The event will take place in front of Wat Botumvotey Park from 5:00 am, as announced by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport and\u00a0Secretary General of National Olympic Committee of Cambodia during the Press Conference, held on February 12, 2025 at Conference Hall of NOCC.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Held in celebration of International Women\u2019s Day, Sovannaphum Life has been the main sponsor of this event since its inception in 2020, making this our fourth consecutive year supporting the Women Run 10K.<\/p>

  • In 2020<\/strong>, our first year as the main sponsor, the theme was \u201cWomen Break New Records<\/strong>\u201d, with over 2,000 participants pushing their limits and achieving new personal bests.<\/li>
  • In 2023<\/strong>, we returned as the main sponsor with the theme \u201cWomen in Leadership<\/strong>\u201d, encouraging more women to take on leadership roles in their communities and workplaces, again with over 2,000 runners.<\/li>
  • In 2024<\/strong>, we proudly sponsored the run for the third time under the theme \u201cWomen of Victory<\/strong>\u201d, which saw participation rise to over 3,000 runners.<\/li><\/ul>

    Sovannaphum Life\u2019s commitment extends beyond just sponsorship; we are dedicated to fostering equal opportunities for women in Cambodia. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Sovannaphum Life will contribute 2,000 Riels per registered participant, with the total donation reaching up to 8,000,000 Riels. These funds will be directed to two impactful Organization in Cambodia:<\/p>

    • Cambodian Women\u2019s Crisis Center (CWCC) \u2013 A nonprofit organization operating in Phnom Penh, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, and Kampong Thom, dedicated to protecting and empowering women in crisis. In 2024 alone, CWCC supported and assisted over 400<\/strong> Our contribution will help provide business startup materials, skills development resources, and leadership-sharing sessions to inspire the women they support.<\/li><\/ul>

      • Women Are Gold (WAG) \u2013 A nonprofit community center in Kampong Cham that provides a safe space and opportunities for at-risk women. WAG housed and cared for 45 young women in 2024, with 15 of them registering to join the Women Run 10K this year. Our support will go toward book donations for self-study, a computer for their library, and leadership-sharing sessions to inspire young women in their programs.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
